A few crafty things to share...

Hi ladies! I have been MIA, again! LOL! I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying the change of weather in your part of the world! I know I am! I am sooo ready for spring and summer! Anyway, on to the real reason for this post. I have received all of my April tags and they were all amazing beyond belief! I have been so lucky to have been put in a group with such talented ladies for the past two months! I am not sure if she is doing one for this month I haven't heard. But, if not, I want each of you to know that I love all of your tags and I admire them on a daily basis! I will upload pics of the tags I received later this week! I am in a big hurry today, so I am sorry for any typos or poor grammar as I just don't have time to worry right now! LOL! So, on to the ATC's and tag that I made over the last couple weeks.

Hugs,

Cheryl

Tag made using Prima Pearls & Bloomers

Hi ladies! I just realized how very, very similar this tag is with my swap tag that I just made! I guess that tells you that I am lovin' these colors! Oh, well! LOL! This is my first time using Prima Pearls and I must say they are soooo beautiful! I have used Basic Grey pearls in the past and I seem to have a horrible time getting them to lay down on my project the way they look on the protector sheet. But, I didn't have that problem with the Prima pearls. They are made sturdier than the Basic Grey. Anyway, that's my sell on Prima! I love these colors though. They are Riptide and Lime Twist glimmer mist. I have Juneberry glimmer mist I am going to try today. Hopefully, it will not look like a tag I just made! Oh, and guess what...I won Donnas’ fiber giveaway! I am so excited! I swear to you I have never won anything in my entire 46 years that I have been alive! LOL! I am thrilled I won! I love fibers and the fibers that Donna has looks out of this world! Thank you Donna for the chance to win and I love your little girls! They are adorable and your youngest little girl, Vickie, seems like she is full of spunk! Sweet little girls!

Cheryl

Canvas Project using my daughters senior picture and Graphic 45 paper!

Good Morning all! I just finished a canvas project that I really enjoyed creating! I bought a 4" x5" canvas which was already framed at my local Big Lots for $2. I inked the sides with Black Stazon because I didn't have black acrylic paint! I was worried about how it would dry, but everything worked out fine. I then went around the edges with gold acrylic paint. I used Graphic 45's Le'Romatique paper on the background of the canvas. I ripped a piece of the paper and tucked it underneath Brittany's picture and the Prima sugared flower. I put a piece of Webster lace along the bottom I then cut out a couple of the flowers and a stamp from the same paper line. I adhered the flowers to the picture, the stamp to the lace and added a small 7 Gypsies key on top of the stamp. All in all I feel like it looks pretty good. I am wondering if I should make it a little fuller here or there, but for now I am happy with the outcome! Thanks for stopping by!

Okay....I added some more Prima's to the canvas.  What do you think now?  Do you like the first one or the second one better?

Hugs,
Cheryl

Somer's page...

This is a 6x6 page and a tag that I made for Somer Renee Thompson. Somer was abducted while walking home from school one day last fall. She was walking home with her twin brother and a sister when she disappeared and was found dead a few hours later. Sarah (kaczsk - YouTube name) enlisted the help of the YouTube scrapbooking community to make a 6x6 page to be entered into a mini album for Somer's Mom. Somer's birthday is April 5th so Sarah wanted to give it to her Mother prior to that date. It is such an awful story. It is every Mother and Father's worse nightmare. I can't even imagine the pain that her Mother is going through! Our children should be safe to walk home after school, but sadly enough that just isn't the case in this day and age. My heart goes out to her Mother, twin brother and sister.

This is the back side...

This is the tag for Somer's Mother.

Please keep Somer's family in your thoughts and prayers!

My tags are complete!

Hi ladies! I have completed my tags for the tag swap. I had soooo much fun and I am so happy that I joined in on the swap. Like I said before I was a little anxious about it. I am for sure in on it next month if Louise decides to do another one. I made Louise a tag too, just to show my appreciation for hosting the swap. I am sure there is more work to it than meets the eye! So, thank you so much for hosting Louise! I have posted a picture and made a video (click on the link below to watch video) of the tags I made. As I have said before pictures just do not do these tags justice! You really can't see all of the glimmer that is on them. So, I hope you like my tags and I will be checking in later!

Cheryl

My very first tag...

Hi ladies!  I just wanted to show you all my first tag that I have ever made!  I made it a couple weeks ago now.  Not bad, I guess!  LOL!  I just started using Tim Holtz and Glimmer Mist products about 3 months ago.  I love, love, love them and I am a fan for sure.  I am still working on my tags for the tag swap.  I am loving every minute of it.  Have a wonderful rest of the day and I will be back soon!

Hugs, Cheryl
